Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci (Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej Now Onesti) Romanian Gymnast born November 12, 1961. She was the first Romanian to be awarded a score of 10 in the Olympic contest. Bela Karolyi was later Romanian Gymnastics Coach, came across Comaneci when she was just six years old. The first time she competed was at The National Junior Championships in where she placed 13th in 1969. In 1970, she won. At her first international event in 1972 a pre-Olympic junior event for countries of the communist bloc she was awarded three gold medals. In 1973 and 1974, she was an overall junior champion. In 1975 she was awarded four golds and one silver at her first senior international contest. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European champion. In 1976, she became the first person in the world to use a backwards-double salto for a dismount off the parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. The story of Carol Wayne to the world of entertainment started in her teens. With her twin sister Nina Wayne, she joined touring entertainment programs that were known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was born on the 6th of September 1942 on the 6th of September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol started her career in entertainment in her teens. She started her career as a figure skater performing with her younger sister Nina Wayne as part of the traveling entertainment shows named Ice Capades. They featured ice skating shows which included stage performances.
